Why choose Explosive Detection Dogs from SAFECROWDS GROUP?
SAFECROWDS GROUP is a NASDU (National Association of Security Dog Users) member and we are also part of the NCTAS-P programme; the National Canine Training and Accreditation Scheme (NCTAS) for private security companies.
Developed as a collaborative initiative between the Home Office, Counter Terrorism Policing and the National Protective Security Authority (NPSA), the NCTAS-P programme ensures we deliver the highest standards of professionalism and performance when carrying out explosives searches of buildings, areas, routes, and vehicles. Our team includes NCTAS-P accredited Explosives Detection Dog teams, whose accreditation is renewed annually, with some working towards NCTAS-P.
All our Explosives Detection Dogs work in an established pairing with their EDD handler. Many of our EDD teams have experience of explosives detection in the armed forces and the police. The dogs are trained to the highest standards using real scents, enabling them to indicate to their handler if something suspicious is found, and all our canine teams undertake regular continuation training, delivered by our head of Canine Training, Wayne Gell.
Animal welfare is also very important to us, and we ensure that all our dogs are trained and cared for in line with the highest standards, with plenty of exercise, rest time and affection.
